 When Raman Handa
arrived in the United States from India, he knew he wanted to become involved in
the jewelry industry. When he purchased a small company in Harvard Square, in Cambridge,
Mass., he never could have expected the company would soon turn into a worldwide
empire with an enormous celebrity clientele. “Our corporate philosophy, as
far as competition goes, is that the pie is big enough for all of us to co-exist,
says Nidhi Handa, vice president of communications for Alpha Omega, and Raman Handa’s
daughter. “We are the youngest jeweler in town with a modern sensibility.
We have a low stress environment, and are located in an old town with a lot of heritage.”
