Henge Hill House, A View From Above

A concept to be built atop the footprints of a historic farm storage building, Polish architectural designer Bartosz Domiczek’s Henge Hill House is a marvel of architectural beauty. On the picturesque olive slopes, this ultra-modern home’s striking design takes advantage of the former facade which has been restored as a shell for the interior’s contemporary suites.

With a palate that is modern and rustic, presenting a nod to classic design merged with views of the surrounding mountain range and groves. The original arches around the perimeter frame view from each part of the house, providing unobstructed views of the vast natural landscape just beyond.

The home features a curved corridor providing contrast between the pre-existing shell and the new interior. Its small central courtyard is just that, the focal point for which the rooms are arranged around. Another remarkable use of space and ingenuity is the swimming pool situated above the hilltop which was once a natural basin. This circular pool presents truly remarkable vistas of the landscape, leaving those feeling like they are on top of the world.
