Luxury Italian coachbuilder ARES Design has released the first-ever dynamic footage of its supercar, the Panther ProgettoUno. The new Italian automobile manufacturer is bursting onto the scenes merging coachbuilding methods with advanced technologies. Poised to offer the highest level of individualization and transformation in the luxury mobility, their first supercar, the Panther ProgettoUno was unveiled to the world at the 2019 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
Spotting an opportunity to move the coachbuilding business to another level of service by developing the world’s first ‘concept-to-creation’ coachbuilding facility, ARES Design CEO Dany Bahar, along with his long-term Dubai-based business partner and ARES Design Executive Chairman, Waleed Al Ghafari, were keen to burst onto the supercar scene. “Panther ProgettoUno merges traditional Italian craftsmanship values with modern advanced ones, bringing automotive dreams to reality with artisan principles and skills,” says Bahar. As the first model of its Legends Reborn program, Panther ProgettoUno was conceived as a tribute to the iconic supercars of the 70s and 80s, refined through CFD technology for the best aerodynamic performance it is created entirely from carbon fiber.
Its advanced 23,000 square-meter ARES Design headquarters in Modena opened in January 2018 and was key to the development of the company’s first car. It brought all facets of coachbuilding under one roof, immediately set a new global standard for the design, development, production, and handover of bespoke, personalized, and unique cars. “For the first time, every aspect of bringing automotive dreams to reality can take place under one roof in rapid time and to an extremely high level of quality,” says Bahar. “ARES Design realizes the dreams and visions of enthusiasts creating one-off, unparalleled vehicles, impossible to obtain elsewhere. To this end, a shared creative experience that aims at providing a completely tailor-made product.”
The ProgettoUno sports car, of which ARES Design will build a limited run of 21 with an estimated 12-week delivery time from order, boasts 650 horsepower pushing the car to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and a top speed of over 325 km/h. This true driver’s car allows the driver to take full advantage of the 7-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, and suspension along a V10 engine that will growl down the road at top speeds.
Dubbed ‘Engineers of Emotions,’ ARES Design was keen to add unique design aesthetics both on its exterior and interior with references to the past with modern style touches. In an homage to the pop-up front headlights of yesteryear, ProgettoUno ups the ante with its bi-LED lamps atop aluminum and carbon fiber. Its interior can be fully customized based on the customer’s design request, with custom made Alcantara and bespoke leather upholstery and handcrafted interior panels in carbon fiber and leather. The retro-styled dashboard houses its infotainment system through its 12.3-inch HD TFT instrument panel, which is boosted by a purposely developed high-definition Daniel Hertz audio system, an automotive first for the leading audio firm.
Along with this announcement on the footage of the supercar, ARES plans to open showrooms in Miami and LA next year.
