Cantiere delle Marche with its new RAW Yacht series is bringing a sturdy explorer with an interesting color scheme. Being developed with designer Giorgio M. Cassetta, the RAW Yacht series shuns extravagance and instead embraces a functional design.
This is a yacht developed for longer journeys with comfort, durability, and performance being kept in mind. The design is functional and has been built to withstand tougher conditions with all-weather cruising as a part of its agenda. It is bigger than size than what this Italian shipyard has done earlier while standing tall at 31 meters, being a 102-footer.
The design stems from its functional roots and so does that color scheme with a dash of orange. Orange is normally a color associated with search and rescue missions while here it has been to stand out along with being easy to spot. The orange is not overdone but adds a sprinkle of fun to the design while it is not as extravagant it is a fun yacht with an underlying sense of adventure plus its tough ethos.
The moniker ‘RAW’ stands for Recreation All-Weather Watercraft and it is also sustainably built with a focus on raw, natural materials for low environmental impact. Other functional aspects include the ability to land drones and helicopters plus it also has storage for up to two five-metre tenders in the bow. For its size, it packs in a lot and two 16-foot (5-meter) tenders are a significant highlight of this explorer vessel. There is also an openness to the design where everyone relates to an airy feel. With floor-to-ceiling glass doors also you can close the sides of the main deck plus it brings in flexibility. The cockpit is also connected to the main saloon and the beach. There are a lot of lounging areas too and with a low bulwark giving a panoramic sunbed.
These features make the RAW a yacht that is perfect for an adventure with its focus on practicality. Of course, it is not just about serious exploring as the RAW also is a fun yacht with sunloungers aft plus also having a bar along with an al fresco dining table. Powering this yacht series is a pair of Caterpillar engines with a top speed of 13 knots. With the first unit already being spoken for, this is an explorer that does not do flash instead it is about being an authoritative explorer!
