On October 1, 2018, the Dallas Opera held their First Sight/First Night Patron party at the picturesque estate of Roxanne and Gene Phillips. Over one hundred supporters gathered to celebrate the kick off to the 2018-2019 season. As guests mingled, they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres provided by Eating Royally Catering, owned by Chef Darren McGrady, the former chef to Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, and could browse the featured limited edition jewelry from Bvlgari’s Roma collection. A proud supporter of this year’s season, Bvlgari will give a portion of proceeds back to the opera. At the evening’s culmination, guests were treated to an intimate performance by Dallas Opera pianist Kirk Severtson and tenor Andrew Stenson, who portrays the Steersman in the opening performance of The Flying Dutchman. This year the Dallas Opera promises to sweep its audience off its feet, and if this magical evening was any indication; it will do just that!
