Choosing a cover for a magazine is carried out with scrupulous attention to detail and what’s found on the outside of the magazine is a direct indication of what is to come on the inside. Without question, it becomes a foundation and direct link to an issue’s success. When the publisher of Upscale Living Magazine, Alina Cabral, desired a meaningful fall cover, she immediately began to explore her options. Dallas has been and continues to be a very engaging market for the publication. During the last decade the city has experienced exponential growth in many sectors and most interestingly, in the luxury lifestyle market.
Together with the Dallas editor, Deve Sanford, the publisher embarked on a journey to find the perfect person that embodies the city of Dallas for the fall cover reveal. That person ended up being prominent philanthropist, businessman and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban.
Recognized as being the world’s luxury portal featuring all elements of a life well-lived, the magazine partnered with All Things Beautiful & Co. for its big cover reveal with the famous Dallas resident. The premier, lifestyle management company founded by mother and daughter duo, Cynthia Hightower-Jenkins and Annia Jenkins, who happen to be featured in the Fall issue alongside mother and daughter duo, Deve and Jannie Sanford, curated the luxurious event, which simultaneously served as the launch for their company.
The collaboration between Upscale Living Magazine and All Things Beautiful & Co. set the bar very high for creating an unforgettable evening. On October 25th, Bella Custom Homes provided the perfect venue in their breathtaking 14,706 square foot Italian Renaissance home in Preston Hollow, one of Dallas’ most exclusive neighborhoods. At the invitation only event, the city’s top influencers, mixed and mingled while indulging in signature cocktails by Elit Ultra Vodka, a sommelier accompanied wine tasting by Royal Blue Grocery Highland Park, passed hors d’oeuvres provided by Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Dallas, decadent charcuterie boards and fudge dusted in 24k gold by Ascension Dallas, cheese platters by the iconic Italian restaurant Circo and a goodie bag from Dallas chocolatier, Chocolate Secrets.
At every corner, guests were wowed by beautifully integrated elements of luxury throughout the estate including entertainment by Martyn Lucas, a world renown vocalist/pianist and Gabby Clover, a jazz/classical violinist.
Special touches were added by master cigar roller, William Rodriguez, two art pieces displayed by international, contemporary artist, LaToya Jones and stunning jewelry pieces by Skibell Fine Jewelry worn by models throughout the evening.
Venturing outside, not only were guests able to take in the beautiful grounds of the estate, but had the opportunity to experience luxury, exotic cars brought in by Park Place Premier and by The Classic TX.
Halfway through the evening, Deve Sanford and Annia Jenkins unveiled the cover with Mark Cuban and let guests in on a very special surprise! Sending his regrets, because he was traveling with the Dallas Mavericks, in lieu of not being able to be attend, Mark Cuban generously sent guests tickets for a Mavericks game and a t-shirt!
As if this incredible evening could have ended on a better note, Make Your Life Sweeter, a confectionary lifestyle brand founded by Yasmeen Tadia provided an exclusive dessert experience featuring their signature Sugaire Cotton Candy Affogato to top off the spectacular affair.
