With spring around the corner, Monaco is preparing to once again be a hub of luxury events this year. The season really begins in earnest in April, when the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters tennis tournament entices a crowd of high net worth individuals and stretches until the end of summer. The most famous events include the world-renowned Grand Prix and the Monaco Yacht Show.
One event that has become a regular towards the beginning of the calendar is Top Marques, which runs parallel to the tennis. Top Marques is the only live supercar show in the world and takes place annually in the Grimaldi Forum, Monte Carlo. The exhibition has cemented its place in the prestigious Monaco calendar and is now the Principality’s fourth biggest event behind the tennis, Grand Prix and Yacht Show.
Last year’s show drew the largest crowd yet for the event with 36,000 visitors over the four days, including the Prince of Monaco. The theme of green technology was prominent last year, with brands such as Tesla and Quant exhibiting cars with cutting edge clean technology. The show also boasted record sales and record numbers of test drivers, ensuring that the show would of course return this year.
Top Marques 2015 will run in its usual location from 16th – 19th April 2015 and marks the show’s 12th anniversary. This year promises to be equally interesting with three technologically supreme vehicles already signed up to be exhibited, in addition to displays from Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, McLaren, and Ferrari.
Not content with having many of the world’s most luxurious car manufacturers on show, the event also provides a platform for representatives from other luxury industries to display their products. A significant area of the venue is dedicated to luxury goods from industries including yachting, aviation, jeweler and the art world, ensuring that the event offers something to interest every visitor.
One touch which really makes Top Marques stand out compared to other car shows is the opportunity to have a customized test drive out on the roads of the Principality and even follow the Formula 1 circuit that is so famous.
Tickets are now available from the Top Marques website with many different packages on offer from standard day tickets to a multi-day premium pass which offers guests the chance to enjoy a three-course gourmet meal on a day of their choice. The premium pass also offers guests free shuttle transfers around the principality. Those looking to rival the cars being exhibited may want to hire a luxury car for the duration of the show, which will have the added advantage of opening doors to Monaco’s finest restaurants and bars once the exhibition shuts.
