Bering Yachts’ new flagship model, the Bering 145, will hit the market in January 2022. The transoceanic model is Bering’s largest build yet, combining elegance, speed, and the latest technology to offer an economical solution to long-range global cruising.
The Bering 145 is a custom 45-meter superyacht designed by Bering’s in-house team of naval architects and engineers to push the boundaries of the latest propulsion technology and the most extreme cruising itinerary.
The yacht’s hybrid propulsion system drives the propellers with electric motors charged by a bank of batteries, which are recharged by high-efficiency, variable-speed DC generators. Both docking and mooring are possible in electric mode. It features a full displacement steel hull of 514 metric tons.
In hybrid mode, the range of the Bering 145 is more than 12,000 miles with a cruising speed of 9 knots. The yacht’s enormous 95,600 liters (25,265 gallons) fuel capacity enables it to travel more than 4,500 nautical miles under conventional power with a minimum cruising speed of 15 knots.
This is not to say that the Bering 145 is entirely focused on function, however. Bering is just as intent on providing its customers a luxurious yachting experience like no other.
“This is the culmination of our customers’ many years of yacht-owning experience combined with Bering Yachts’ technical know-how,” says Alexey Mikhailov, President, and Chairman of Bering Yachts.
The yacht provides accommodation for a total crew capacity of 12, with the Captain’s cabin located directly behind the wheelhouse. The main deck features an airy, enlarged window, full-beam lounge, as well as a spacious dining room and bar capable of seating 12 guests.
A spacious aft beach club allows guests to enjoy 40 square meters of outdoor relaxation and entertainment space. The flybridge is a further “spa zone” with a bar, gas grill, and other amenities. The lower deck provides generous storage for water toys of every variety.
In short, the Bering 145 is a superyacht perfectly marrying the need for serious, long-range cruising capability with guests’ desire for relaxation, entertainment, and the experience of a lifetime.
