Known for its distinguished excellence and classic designed superyachts, the Ferretti Group’s flagship yacht-making brand, Riva, has launched the new “M/Y Fifty,” a 50-meter superyacht. The second in Riva’s 50 meter line after Race in 2019, this beauty hit the water for the first time during a private launch ceremony in Anacona on March 8. The M/Y Fifty was developed by the Riva Superyacht Division to offer an outstanding cruising experience defined by comfort, attention to detail, and an evolved vision of life at sea.
The great dream inspired by the genius of Carlo Riva, with the celebrated “Caravelle” and “Atlantic” series motor yachts of the 1960s and 70s, becomes a reality again. The 50-meters length has a maximum beam of nine meters and possesses the characteristic elements of Riva’s classic stylistic and aesthetic hallmarks with accurate sophistication. The blue-tinged shark grey color has exteriors which feature style elements and materials like mahogany, steel, and glass.
Speaking about the yacht and its style at the launch, Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi said, “Riva M/Y ‘Fifty’ is the demonstration that we Italians know how to imagine and realize masterpieces like no one else in the world. And at this difficult time, my thanks go to everyone whose skills and efforts have helped build this magnificent ship.”

The M/Y Fifty is spread across four decks with a Jacuzzi on the top deck. Six spacious cabins can accommodate 12 guests with an additional crew of nine. The superyacht is powered by twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 diesel engines; the yacht can reach a top speed of 15 knots and cruises at the speed of 11 knots.
In the business for the last 179 years, the Riva 50 Metri is the result of a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the firm founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, who have been the exclusive designer of all Riva models, and the team created to develop Riva’s new superyachts with the Product Strategy Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferraris.
