There is tons of character to be noticed, in the well-preserved history of the area. It is also home to the Internationally known Monte Carlo Casino, a must see landmark, with more, dramatically detailed décor, and incredible views of the surrounding environment.
The entire place is a really well-run, well-organized, safe place to visit, and the main attraction is the Yacht Show, that takes place along the Mediterranean Sea, every fall. Located in Port Hercules, Monaco, the Monaco Yacht Show features over 580 exhibits with over 40 different makes and models of brand new boats, always remaining cutting-edge and current in the industry. Every year, the Yacht Show attracts a myriad of patrons, from the Yacht designers themselves, to the guests with appreciation for quality workmanship, combined with an everlasting enthusiasm for the great outdoors.
Yachts being featured in the annual showcase, are on par with these three selections:
Lower Level | The Galactica Supernova has a modern, upscale, recreational, leisure look, featuring a very lustrous interior, with illuminated, wall panels, alongside an inside bar. The spacious interior of the yacht, leads out on to a walk-out, open deck, complete with modest lounge chairs, for relaxing in the beautiful views, over the expansive Sea. Additional attributes include a television and living area.
Upper Level | Even better, is the gorgeous sundeck with beautiful patio tables and chairs, designed for enjoying great conversation in good company. Luxurious lounge seating at the outermost edge of the sundeck is perfectly built for basking in the rays, reflecting off the water.
The Soy Amour is highlighted by an Exterior Parlor, an area that resembles a comfortable, in yacht, patio. The room is reminiscent of a quaint restaurant – a great place to entertain guests, with plenty of elegant, comfortable, lounge-style seating. An addition, such as this, is a unique way to enjoy the sun, while cruising the open waters.
The Soy Amour comes complete with a television and a kitchenette area. An added enhancement is the singular, open area, with a railing along the edge of the yacht, enabling guests to get up close and personal, experiencing the real feeling of yachting. This carefully, thought out detail, creates a great place to take a break from life, and really take the entire experience all in.
The almost mythical yacht, is appropriately named because of its glitzy, glamorous sitting area, with shimmering, champagne colored décor, and still more, gold, toned accents throughout the interior. The ambiance of this incredible yacht’s interior creates a very welcoming environment, with a home-living look and feel.
Located off the main area, there is a wine cellar, with a full-dining area, featuring a long, dinner table, and oversized chairs, for entertaining guests. The unicorn is tastefully embellished with plenty of mirrors and a luminescent, neutral-tone, marbled floor, to open up the space and reflect the light in the room, making the lower level a bright and spacious place to gather. This particular yacht is really magnificent, something reminiscent of a hotel lobby, complete with an onsite, miniature bar and restaurant area.
These extravagant yachts and many more, can all be found at the annual event. With 350 guests in attendance, during any, given year, the Monaco Yacht Show is an exclusive event, with a celebratory ceremony. In recognition of superb yacht construction, an awards ceremony takes place yearly, as well.
Yachts on display are divided into four, main categories. Select vessels are chosen based on Eco-friendly features, interior/exterior design, and innovation. And while all of the latest yachts are featured at the show, innovation awards are presented for the best, new yachts, based on their overall look and positive contribution to the environment (i.e. minimal impact).
The Monaco Yacht Show takes place from September 27 – 30, attracting fall tourism to the area, and the event usually lasts for four, consecutive nights. Hosted by the Hotel Hermitage, a top floor room is among the best places to view the Show, overlooking the harbor, where you can head down for further viewing, during the day. If you’ve never visited Monaco, the Yacht Show is your excuse to go vacation.
