Our five favorite gins of the moment, in honor of International G&T Day

Happy International G&T Day, and to mark the day, here is selecting the very best gins from the UK. Raise a glass to this classic and much-loved cocktail with a tipple from Pinkster Gin, The Cotswolds Distillery, Spode, Aber Falls, and the newly launched Northwest Passage Expedition Gin.

Cotswolds Dry Gin

Cotswolds Dry Gin

Cotswolds Dry Gin is distilled with a blend of nine carefully-considered botanicals. The Head Distiller uses over ten times the average amount of botanicals used by most premium gins. Because the gin is non-chill filtered, the oils are retained in the gin, which causes a pearlescent cloud to appear when ice or tonic is added, creating the unique ‘Cloudy G&T.’ Cotswolds was named Best London Dry Gin in the World Gin Awards 2016 and received the Top Outstanding Award in the International Wine Spirits Competition 2017. Difford’s Guide recently ranked the gin as one of the top 20 gins available in a 450 brands survey.

Pinkster Gin

Pinkster Gin

Pinkster is the pioneer of pink gin, made from gin-soaked raspberries grown near Pinkster HQ in Cambridgeshire. The raspberry infusion rounds off the juniper edge, giving a deliciously dry gin with a hint of fruit and a smooth finish. Pinkster prides itself on offering a gin with no added sugar; after all, the sweetness comes from the raspberries. Delicious.

Spode Gin

Spode 250th Anniversary Gin

A limited-edition gin is craft distilled in Great Britain and features complex tasting notes of earl grey tea and orange to start, and underpinned with floral jasmine and chamomile. With 250 years of perfecting this spirit, it has to be a must-try on G&T day!
Northwest Passage Expedition Gin

Northwest Passage Expedition Gin

Scottish craft gin has been expertly created by a team of adventurers to raise awareness of ocean conservation and help fund their row of the Northwest Passage, the Arctic route between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans known as the world’s Last Great First. The Northwest Passage Expedition Gin is flavored with botanicals from the shores of Orkney and the Hudson Bay in Canada. They’re drawn from Sugar Kelp, Angelica Archangelica, Ramana’s Rose, and Burnet Rose. The Angelica root adds a hint of sweetness balanced by a subtle, floral note from the roses. The addition of lemon peel and calamondin brings citrus notes, while the sugar kelp adds a mild saltiness for a nod to the sea.
Aber Falls Small Batch Gin

Aber Falls Small Batch Gin

This award-winning gin is brought to you by Aber Falls in Wales. With flavors that date back to the Druid times, expect pepper, juniper, and floral notes merged with berries and lavender.
