Luxury travel company Ker & Downey® Africa has launched an 11-day Luxury Seychelles Honeymoon and Couples Vacation following the announcement that Seychelles will be the first nation to welcome vaccinated travelers the world over. The quintessential romantic destination, this Seychelles itinerary invites newlyweds and couples to dive with sea turtles and manta rays, hike through verdant jungles, and cruise along the coastline at sunset with a glass of bubbles to celebrate their ‘I dos.’
Seychelles is the first country in Africa to start a COVID-19 national vaccination program. It aims to be the first country in the world to vaccinate 70% of the over 18 years of age population to receive herd immunity. According to the Seychelles Department of Tourism, all vaccinated travelers can enter the country, and travelers who test negative for COVID-19 may enter as early as mid-March.
“The travel landscape has become more challenging to navigate, and we are working wherever we can to offer as much support to our clients as possible. We hope the announcement of Seychelles welcoming vaccinated travelers paired with the destination’s goal of becoming the first country in the world to receive herd immunity will provide comfort to our clients and ensure that they feel confident in booking their honeymoon with us,” says Lisa Nel, Head of Product and Marketing of Ker & Downey® Africa.
A remote and natural paradise, this itinerary transports guests to two private islands in the Seychelles archipelago, Desroches and Félicité, and further highlights an exclusive experience by accommodating travelers in private villas at Four Seasons Desroches Island and Six Senses Zil Pasyon. The itinerary includes a number of honeymoon experiences from world-class spa treatments, private sunset cruises, private stargazing experiences, and complimentary champagne on arrival.
Starting in Mahé Island, guests will be whisked away on a light aircraft to Desroches Island. Four Seasons Desroches is the sole resort on the island, ensuring the utmost privacy. Whilst couples can spend their time unwinding at their private pool and indulging in spa treatments, there are an array of activities available to add a sense of adventure to the trip – think ocean kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling, and a conservation experience to meet the 150 Aldabra tortoises.
Next up, travelers will return to Mahé Island for their onward journey to Félicité Island by helicopter. The private island is home to Six Senses Zil Pasyon, an exclusive resort molded around the island’s tropical vegetation and granite boulders. After adventurous days island hopping and exploring Félicité, couples can enjoy a unique outdoor cinema experience under the stars.
Pricing for the 11-day Luxury Seychelles Honeymoon and Couple Vacation starts from $10,663 and is available for travel year-round.
