There is no better tribute to one of the pioneers of style and design than a bespoke Maybach made from scratch in collaboration with the man himself. Following the wishes of Virgil’s family, the Project MAYBACH electric show car has been revealed, and it is as radical as the legacy of Virgil Abloh, with a free-thinking philosophy behind this car being untethered by production requirements. Abloh, collaboratively with Gorden Wagener, has designed an off-road-oriented 2-seater, battery-electric off-road coupé having huge Gran Turismo proportions, large off-road wheels, and distinctive styling details. It can be described as a dramatic re-writing of car design in general, with a fresh outlook.

The off-road coupe seats two people and has an interior carefully styled by Abloh, along with materials chosen by him and Mercedes. The off-road theme is there with the skid plate at the rear, along with a huge ground clearance. Alongside being a prolific fashion designer and a figure who has changed the fashion industry, Abloh has been previously associated with Mercedes, too, with other projects like the Geländewagen.
