Luxury watchmaker Breitling has joined forces with British eyewear house Cutler & Gross to create an exclusive capsule collection of sunglasses. Inspired by the design codes of the Superocean Heritage timepiece, the collection launched on 11 June in Breitling boutiques, with a second release arriving in August through Cutler & Gross. It marks the first collaboration between the two brands, uniting Swiss precision with British design craftsmanship.

Breitling CEO Georges Kern describes the project simply: “The Superocean Heritage now has the ideal companion—sleek Cutler & Gross sunglasses to match.” For Cutler & Gross CEO Jack Dooley, the partnership is about synergy: “This collection blends heritage with modern craftsmanship. It feels timeless, yet completely fresh.”

Design with Horological Detail

Each frame references the Superocean Heritage watch. Luminous temple tips, Milanese-style engraved metalwork, and Breitling’s signature ‘B’ logo etched into hinges and nose pads are subtle nods to the brand’s design DNA. Classic dial tones—Black, Classic Navy, Blue Havana, and Grey—define the color palette.

Limited Editions with Craftsmanship at the Core

The collection features five sunglass styles, each produced in runs of only 500 pieces. Crafted from a mix of lightweight metal and eco-conscious acetate, the frames balance technical rigor with refined style.

A highlight is the titanium edition, exclusive to Cutler & Gross, finished in red gold and fitted with ZEISS LightPro lens technology. Handmade in Japan over six months, these frames showcase artisan precision with ultralight, hypoallergenic materials.
