Slovakia-based Klein Vision could get the world’s first flying car bragging rights as it could come as soon as 2026. The AirCar could also cost up to $1 million when introduced to the market. The sleek two-seater flying car will debut by 2026, with first customer deliveries starting. The product has a certificate of airworthiness thanks to 500 test flights. The production prototype was unveiled at the 2025 Living Legends of Aviation Gala Dinner in Beverly Hills. The AirCar can transform from a car to an aircraft in less than two minutes while being powered by a 280-horsepower engine. That is fast for something that does not weigh a lot (800 kilograms).
The AirCar also looks sleek and unique while combining various performance car as well as aviation design cues. The design is unique but has four wheels and not three, which is usually seen with these kinds of cars. The proportions are supercar-like, like though, and look appealing- a key differentiator from other flying cars.
The big talking point is the small time required for the transformation to be ready for the skies, and here you have a yoke steering to use too. The wings are cleverly hidden when not in use and retract while having a wingspan of 8.2m. The design, meanwhile, is conventional, and that’s a plus point where it will not stick out on the road, although the tail should give away much about this car! The AirCar also features three fuel tanks, with a flying range of 600 miles and a driving range of just under 500 miles. The car is long, but it is not huge and nor does it look so.
Hence, you can park it at a standard parking spot rather than endure getting a hangar. That is crucial in the wider acceptance of this kind of car. Of course, you need to have a private pilot’s license, but it is not tedious to use otherwise. The cabin seems small,l though, and despite the length, it is still a two-seater. The AirCar would have customisations for its interior, though, and you can spec different material choices too. While flying cars have been a pipedream for long, this one promises the most because it is a proper performance car, even though the price means it will be for the select few, but for now, this could be the first flying car.
