A good working definition of living a luxury lifestyle is having your own yacht, complete with a smartly uniformed and attentive crew. An ultra-luxury lifestyle, however, might be defined as having your own fleet of crewed yachts around the world to choose from—vessels with names such as Happy Me, All About U 2, Serenity, Galaxy, Queen Eleganza, Sweet Escape, Nectar, Anima Maris, and Freedom.

Slovenia-based Goolets has built a portfolio of charter yachts that makes this level of freedom possible. Its collection spans traditional gulets, contemporary motor yachts, and superyachts, offering access to some of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world.

Among its Adriatic highlights is the 55-meter Yacht Premier, the only large private charter yacht in Croatia offering a balcony in every guest cabin. Naturally, it also features a jacuzzi, cinema, sauna, and an extensive collection of water toys designed for guests of every age. Recently renovated, Premier combines the scale of a small cruise vessel with the exclusivity of a fully private experience, making it especially suited to multi-generational travel, milestone celebrations, weddings, honeymoons, and executive retreats.

The 28-guest Marquise offers a different sense of grandeur, supported by a crew of nearly thirty, including a chef, concierge, and wellness professionals. Croatian and Slovenian itineraries often include Split and its UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace, Dubrovnik’s historic walls, the cosmopolitan island of Hvar, and the relaxed charm of Vis. Guests may anchor near the shifting sands of Zlatni Rat on Brač or explore Korčula, traditionally believed to be the birthplace of Marco Polo. Along the way, they experience local wines such as Plavac Mali and traditional dishes including crni rižot, pašticada, and fresh Adriatic seafood.

But once guests have explored the Dalmatian coast, the Aegean, and the Ionian seas, the natural question becomes: where next? With Goolets, the answer is almost anywhere.

The four-deck, 44.5-meter Aix, built by Sanlorenzo and designed by Zuccon International Project, cruises the waters of Australia, the Great Barrier Reef, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand. The owner’s suite, conceived as a private apartment of more than 140 square meters, spans multiple levels and includes indoor and outdoor living areas with direct access to the foredeck pool. A beach club with hydraulic platforms connects guests directly to the ocean, while a full complement of water toys and a 40-foot tender ensures effortless exploration.

“We are not just yacht charter agents. We are the architects of joy,” says Goolets founder Mitja Miritic. His vision reflects a broader shift in luxury travel—away from ownership and toward highly curated experiences.

“Goolets is making waves in yachting by doing things differently,” he explains. “We offer smarter charters and redefine what modern luxury feels like. We curate your adventure, from private wine tastings and exclusive shore dinners to onboard celebrations. Whatever you imagine, we bring it to life.”

Miritic and his wife, Alenka, first discovered traditional gulets along Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. “You could do everything,” he recalls. “It was a kind of luxury that felt almost secret.” In 2005, they founded Goolets with a simple mission: to make this authentic form of luxury travel more accessible without sacrificing comfort, service, or style.

“We started with Turkish gulets and gradually expanded to luxury yachts and superyachts,” he says. “We wanted something deeper than tourism. We wanted floating sanctuaries—a quieter, more soulful version of luxury.”

Today, guests can cruise Greece, Turkey, and Montenegro, or explore Italy aboard the five-crew Elianora, anchoring near Capri’s Faraglioni rocks, visiting Ponza and Ventotene, or circumnavigating Corsica and Sardinia. France’s Côte d’Azur offers Riviera glamour aboard yachts such as Tatiana and Sonishi, while Spain’s Costa Brava reveals a more understated Mediterranean rhythm.

Further afield, Indonesia and the Maldives can be experienced aboard traditional phinisi yachts such as Lamina, blending craftsmanship with modern indulgence. In the Caribbean, contemporary superyachts redefine winter escapes. New launches like the 54-meter Bello, complete with wellness zones and refined contemporary design, represent the next generation of charter travel.

“Luxury is not about showing off,” Miritic says. “It is about presence. It is about someone remembering how you like your coffee. It is about waking in a quiet bay with no other boats around. It is about creating memories that are real.”

In this way, Goolets reflects the evolution of luxury itself. The yacht is no longer the destination, but the setting for experiences—time with family, connection with the sea, and the rare feeling of being completely taken care of. For those who value freedom over ownership, it offers the world as their horizon.
