At this year’s Miami International Boat Show, Wally introduced the latest evolution of its performance-driven design philosophy with the U.S. debut of the new Wallypower50X. The outboard-powered model represents a bold extension of the brand’s iconic Wallypower lineage, merging speed, advanced engineering, and contemporary Italian aesthetics in a striking 50-foot platform.
While the propulsion system signals innovation, the yacht’s architecture remains rooted in the DNA of the original Wallypower50, first introduced at Boot Düsseldorf in 2024. The model draws on the naval architecture of the wallytender48 while incorporating the angular, sculptural superstructure language of the larger wallypower58. The result is a silhouette that feels both aggressive and refined. A vertical bow, concealed anchoring system, and sharply defined lines give the vessel its signature futuristic profile, while the glass-enclosed superstructure—open on three sides—reinforces the brand’s commitment to seamless indoor-outdoor living.
Beneath the protective glazed canopy, the cockpit becomes an elegant outdoor lounge. A starboard sofa faces an L-shaped seating area and dining table to port, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. The galley, positioned forward, allows for seamless service, while the helm station opposite features Wally’s distinctive high-backed chairs, originally developed in collaboration with Poltrona Frau.
Below deck, the interior reflects the brand’s minimalist and contemporary approach. A compact lounge leads to a forward sleeping area beneath skylights that fill the cabin with natural light. A separate bathroom with a shower enhances comfort for overnight stays, while innovative “magic portholes” use digital displays to simulate exterior views, maintaining a connection to the surrounding seascape.
With the introduction of the wallypower50X, Wally continues to shape the evolution of high-performance luxury boating. The model speaks to a new generation of owners who prioritize design, speed, and versatility while demanding the refinement and craftsmanship traditionally associated with larger yachts. As the boundaries between superyacht, day boat, and high-speed cruiser continue to blur, the wallypower50X stands as a compelling statement that performance and luxury are no longer separate ambitions, but a seamless expression of modern yachting.
