The CCR started the Koenigsegg phenomenon and now the latest hypercar pays tribute to that car by adorning the same iconic orange hue. The Tang Orange Pearl was the color in which the original Koenigsegg CCR was painted in and it is fitting that the Swedish hypercar brand pays homage to that car. The Jesko is very much the same in philosophy to which a Koenigsegg adheres to. But now it makes even more power and looks even more extreme. The Jesko has also now entered the pre-series production stage and deliveries of the car will start from spring of 2022. With the showcase of this pre-series model, the 125 Jesko and Jesko Absolut customer cars will now start production. CEO and Founder Christian von Koenigsegg has also said that Jesko’s pre-assembly begins at an extended 10,000 square meter facility.

With shakedowns and test runs, the Jesko is slowly revealing its performance and dynamics while being packed with technology like the active triplex damper added to the front suspension, active aerodynamics, development-integrated Michelin tires, and the Koenigsegg Electronic Stability system.

What stands out is its patented in-house Koenigsegg Light Speed Transmission (LST). The hyper car maker claims to make new developments in the modern dual-clutch technology along with claiming to have the world’s fastest shifting transmission. In total, LST comprises nine forward gears and seven wet, multidisc clutches which are capable of fast shifts at near light speed thanks to simultaneous opening and closing of clutches that allow for seamless acceleration or deceleration.

We also have a glimpse at the pre-series production car’s interior and the distinctive orange hue is carried over there as well. The Jesko cabin also gets a racing-inspired SmartCluster instrument screen behind the steering wheel (where the graphic turns just as you do on the wheel), as well as an updated SmartCenter infotainment touch screen system.

First revealed at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, the Jesko has a 5.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine which produces 1280hp on standard gasoline and 1600hp on E85 biofuel.  The name Jesko comes from, Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of company Founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg.
