This summer, Molton Brown is giving your hair a reason to love the sea breeze. The British fragrance house just added shampoo and conditioner to its Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel collection, offering something fresh for your haircare routine.
The scent brings together crisp fig leaves, salty blue cypress, cool cardamom, and a splash of marine air. It’s clean and bracing, like a walk along the shoreline, and now you can carry that feeling into your everyday.
As part of its Artists of Note series, Molton Brown teamed up with Senior Perfumer Carla Chabert and British poet Dr John Cooper Clarke to explore the story behind the scent. Chabert, who built the fragrance “around the colour blue,” describes it as a mix of cold, spicy notes and a sea breeze, refreshing and modern, with a little edge.
Dr Clarke responded with a poem titled À la recherche du temps fondu – it’s a nod to Proust and a meditation on memory, the coast, and the passing of time. “I always find anything redolent of the coast to be both refreshing and slightly soporific,” he says. “It’s delicious.”
The expanded collection now includes Eau de Parfum, bath and body essentials, home fragrances, and the new haircare. It’s an easy way to bring a bit of that coastal energy into your day.
