A bold new fragrance crafted for the modern adventurer.
Parfums de Marly introduces Castley, a bold new fragrance inspired by movement, exploration, and the elegant tension between refinement and freedom. The scent pays tribute to the 18th-century travellers who charted unknown paths at the King’s command and to the men today who do the same in their own lives.
Anchored in the woody spicy citrus family, Castley opens with vibrant top notes of bergamot, fresh ginger, and black pepper, which give way to a mineral-rich heart featuring Timut pepper, lemon petitgrain, and neroli accord. At the base, Akigalawood, labdanum, and benzoin offer warmth, depth, and a lingering sense of sensuality.
“Castley is about balance,” says Julien Sprecher, founder and artistic director of the house. “It moves between elegance and nature, self-possession and instinct. It’s made for those who are constantly in motion both physically and emotionally.”
The bottle reflects the spirit of the fragrance with a smoky grey flacon and a silver cap that echoes both urban modernity and the drama of a shifting sky. The design captures Castley’s dual energy as a scent for a man equally at home in the city or in the wild.
A standout ingredient in the formula is Timut pepper absolute, a rare note with origins in Nepal. More often found in fine cuisine than in perfumery, it brings a layered hit of pink grapefruit and floral spice, giving the scent an unexpected jolt of energy at the heart.
Shot in stark black and white by Yvan Fabing, the campaign captures a protagonist poised between architecture and nature. It is a visual statement that speaks to the fragrance’s core idea of contrast and fluidity.
Castley is available in 75ml and 125ml formats exclusively through Parfums de Marly boutiques and online at parfums-de-marly.com.
