Founded in London in 2009, ME+EM has established itself as a leading name in modern British womenswear. Known for its monthly capsules of ready-to-wear, accessories, and footwear, all designed in London and sold direct-to-consumer, the brand has built its reputation on thoughtful design and versatility. With ten standalone stores across the United Kingdom, alongside concessions in Harrods and Selfridges, ME+EM has steadily expanded its presence internationally, with a growing footprint across North America.

The latest chapter in that expansion sees the opening of a new boutique at Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto. Spanning 1,637 square feet, the store is the brand’s sixth in North America and its second on the West Coast, following its Beverly Hills flagship.

The Stanford space brings together clean, minimalist architecture with bold moments of color and bespoke walnut cabinetry. Classic British furniture has been reupholstered in fabrics by Beata Heuman and Rose Uniacke, complemented by pieces sourced from US-based design collective The Future Perfect. The interplay of materials and eras reflects the brand’s interest in contrast, pairing heritage references with a modern point of view.

Current highlights include sharply tailored separates, British tweed jackets, and the brand’s signature cheesecloth vacation wear, pieces intended to move easily between work, travel, and everyday life.
