There is a quiet defiance in dressing for spectacle at a time that favors restraint. Yet for Spring 2026, Taller Marmo does not temper that instinct. Instead, the house refines it and presents a collection rooted in glamour and control.
The Ball Collection completes a trilogy that began with Nocturne and Follies. Here, the designers treat excess as structure rather than fantasy. In other words, they build opulence into the fabric, the cut, and the movement.
The references are precise. For example, Le Bal Oriental, hosted by Carlos de Beistegui, sets the tone. Similarly, Black and White Ball and Surrealist Ball, hosted by Marie-Hélène de Rothschild, shape the collection’s sense of display. As a result, the garments invite attention and move with intent.
Textiles lead the story. First, jacquards and fil coupé introduce raised motifs threaded with gold lurex. Then chiffon appears in pomegranate and marigold, layered with geometric and diamond patterns. Meanwhile, silk velvet with lilac blooms adds depth without weight.
Silhouettes stay controlled. For instance, metallic organza caftans dip at the front and sweep at the back. Ruffles echo mid-century shapes without feeling nostalgic. Notably, color replaces black as the anchor and shifts the mood. Lavender, turquoise, marigold, and cobalt define the palette.
Detail becomes structure. In fact, artisans in Italy produce custom three-dimensional floral hardware that forms straps and structural accents. They weld each element by hand. As such, the pieces serve as both ornament and function.
Fringe returns with purpose. In particular, lengths reach up to 60 centimeters and change how minis and caftans move. At the same time, balloon trousers reference Le Bal Oriental. Sequins appear in layered floral designs and in a one-shoulder gown finished with ostrich feathers. Among these, a black hammered organza gown with fringed gold embroidery stands out.
The house continues its work with family-owned silk mills in Como. Consequently, it produces dense jacquards and detailed fil coupé. Caftans take on sculptural form while staying fluid. Finally, bare shoulders, halternecks, and subtle cutouts introduce a controlled sense of allure.
At its strongest, the collection does not rely on excess to create impact. Rather, it relies on precision.
Because true opulence, when handled with control, needs nothing more.
