The hosting startup has taken the ‘event-in-a-box’ concept to new levels of elegance and ease.

Whether you want to celebrate a special occasion (a micro-wedding, perhaps, or a birthday or anniversary dinner in your backyard) or treat yourself and your quadrant-team to an elevated night in, Hestia Harlow’s newly launched rental service may be just the key to a feeling of normalcy, especially if your pre-pandemic life involved hosting stylish events.

Settings start at $45 each, beginning at $180 total for a set of four. A variety of styles are available to suit the customer’s taste and event theme. Did you miss your trip to the Amalfi Coast this year? Replicate the region at home with a package that includes colorful Harper Mosaic salad plates, a homespun burlap table runner, votive candles, and pearl-handled flatware. Or transport yourself to the French countryside with the “Provence Passport” package—oak cheese boards, silver charger plates, lavender napkin rings, and Estelle Diamond cut rock glasses complete the cream-toned display. Longing for a bustling Brooklyn brunch? Recreate one at home with the “Blush Brunch” package—black and gold flatware and pink-hued napkins and glassware pair perfectly with a glass of rosé.

When the girls get together, everything comes up rosé. Whether hosting a ladies’ lunch, gossip sesh, or birthday bash, these bold painted plates, black and gold flatware, and pink-hued napkins and glassware will be your entertaining BFFs.

The system is straightforward and seemingly effortless for customers. A minimum of 14 days of lead time is required for events, and packages arrive two days before the event date. A handy return label is included for easy shipping within two days after the event, much like the way Rent the Runway operates its shipments.

“Our mission is not only to inspire more to host but to create a different means to do so,” said co-founder Andrew Shortell. With the events industry among the hardest hit by COVID-19, a pivot to a smaller scale, in-home events help the startup stay afloat and even thrive.
