With so many fabulous restaurants in the United States, it is hard to come up with a list of the Top Four, however, after my travels to New York, San Francisco, Miami Beach, and Chicago, I came up with my top favorite four. Here they are:
Masa Restaurant, New York
Masa New York is a Japanese sushi restaurant located on the 4th floor of the Time Warner Center in Manhattan. Opened by Chef Masa Takayama in 2004, this restaurant is considered one of the most expensive restaurants in the world and New York City. There are no menus at Masa; the chef prepares the meals often including seasonal ingredients. To dine at Masa, of course, after you’ve made reservations for one of the 26 seats weeks in advance, is a breathtaking experience – from its flavorful cuisine to the atmosphere and beyond.
Saigon Restaurant, San Francisco
Saison Restaurant is located in a rather cozy space in a historic SoMa building featuring innovative fixed-price menus and a huge wine cellar. Saison truly highlights the abundant resources of the San Francisco Bay Area with each new menu consisting of the finest offerings from small farms, ranches, and fisheries. Each course is mind-blowing and overwhelming in some new ways. The service is impeccable from start to finish. Saigon Restaurant offers a unique culinary experience. Certainly worth the price.
The Bazaar by Jose Andres, Miami Beach
A vibrant mix of sophisticated cuisine blending Old World delicacies with avant-garde delights. Visiting The Bazaar is exploring a collection of magical dining experiences entwined in a modern-day, European-inspired indoor piazza.
Alinea Restaurant, Chicago
Alinea is an award-winning restaurant in Chicago owned by its head chef Grant Achatz, who is known for his innovative approach to modernist cuisine. Each course is indescribably amazing in execution, presentation, and taste. While dining at Alinea, one can truly experience elegance and professionalism combined with such immersive start-to-finish joy in every detail.
