Miami has a new way to get around. Vlue, a ride-sharing app built in and for South Florida, is officially live, promising to do what the big players haven’t: keep rides affordable, drivers fairly paid, and the experience transparent.

Instead of hidden fees or late-night surge pricing, Vlue works on flat rates you can see upfront. The app also lets riders choose from options that cover everything from budget-friendly sedans to premium SUVs and even pet-friendly rides. On the driver side, platform fees start lower than industry standards, meaning more money stays in their pockets, which the company argues translates to safer, more reliable service.

Safety is baked in, too: mandatory background checks, vehicle inspections, live trip tracking, and even the option to request a male or female driver. For frequent riders, Vlue has a rewards program with ride credits and referral perks.

“South Florida moves fast, from the beaches to the airports, nightlife, and work, and we designed Vlue to make getting around simpler and more transparent,” says co-founder and CRO Ron Pereyra. “With Vlue, riders get a modern, safety-first experience for lower prices, and drivers get a platform that respects their time.”

Launched with Miami-Dade in mind, the app already has more than 6,500 drivers on board and plans to expand into Broward and Palm Beach by early 2026.

The Vlue app is free to download on Apple and Android.
