Bombardier Learjet’s 75 Liberty Light Jet

Expected to enter service in 2020 the six-seat Learjet 75 Liberty is a reworking of Bombardier’s eight-seat Learjet 75 that entered service in 2013. Offering the only Executive Suite in the light jet category, added flight range will actually come at a cost significantly less than prior Learjets.

Giving travelers in the sky the added leg-room to spread out a bit in the company’s longest cabin, the two-seat Executive Suite at the forward of the cabin features a pocket door between the cockpit and ample space between the rear cabin. Bombardier also claims that its Executive Suite provides the quietest flight experience while offering travelers on-the-go Gogo ATG 4G connectivity to get an ample amount of work up in the sky.

Representing a step up in the light jet segment for the established Learjet fleet which has logged 25 million flight hours overall, it presents more light jet operators than ever to access the platform. With a flight range of 2,080 nautical miles, 40 nautical miles longer than the Learjet 75’s, nonstop flights from Las Vegas to New York, Seattle to Washington, D.C., and Mexico City to San Francisco can be easily achieved.

Using Honeywell TFE731-40BR engines, Liberty will provide a maximum flight altitude of 51,000 feet with a Mach 0.81 top speed and a Mach 0.79 cruise speed. The jet features a Bombardier Flight Deck with a new Garmin G5000 avionics upgrade.

The jet is also certified for Federal Aviation Administration Part 25 regulations, unlike other light jets.
