5 reasons people can’t stop talking about CBD oil

CBD oil is the rave right now. So many people are talking about it – and with good reason. There are so many potential benefits to taking, from better overall health to fighting against serious illness and disease.

CBD is one of the two well-known substances found within the cannabis plant. Common While CBD comes from the cannabis plant, it does not get you high. This is a common misconception that people have over their use. The compound that gets you high is called THC – the second of the two well-known cannabis substances.

For this reason, CBD has become legal at the Federal level in the US courtesy of the 2018 Farm Bill.

While each state still has its laws surrounding CBD, this has not stopped the excitement around the product.

So with all this in mind, here are the five reasons why people can’t stop talking about CBD oil.

CBD And Inflammation

There has been evidence to suggest that CBD can the body fight against inflammation in the intestines. The study showed that when mice ingested CBD, the level of macrophages (cells responsible for triggering the internal inflammation response) within their intestines decreases.

While this study was not done on humans, there is plenty to be excited about here. There is undoubtedly potential for CBD oil to treat inflammation.

CBD oil can also be used by athletes that suffer from inflammation.

Due to the high levels of exercise, their bodies are likely to induce acute inflammation responses as part of the injury recovery process. By using CBD oil, they can reduce the pain and soreness that occurs from injury.

CBD And Arthritis

More than 50 million people are affected by one form of arthritis in the United States, according to HealthcareWeekly.com. This makes it the leading cause of disability across the country. For this reason, people can’t stop talking about CBD oil and how it can relieve the pain it causes.

There are two main types of arthritis: rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and osteoarthritis (OA).

RA is an autoimmune disease. This means that a person’s immune system attacks their joints. This is because it thinks the cells inside the joints are a threat to the entire body. RA’s common symptoms include constant pain in hands and feet, making simple movements like twisting a bottle cap very difficult.

On the other hand, OA is a degenerative disease. This means the disease affects the joints’ cartilage and bones, causing a lot of pain and stiffness in the body, commonly affecting joints in the hips, knees, and thumbs.

According to Kyro, there have been some studies that suggest CBD oil can treat arthritis. For example, a study in 2016 found that topical application of CBD could potentially relieve pain and inflammation caused by arthritis:

“These studies demonstrate transdermal administration of CBD has long-lasting therapeutic effects without psychoactive side-effects. Thus, the use of topical CBD has potential as an effective treatment of arthritic symptomatology.”

Of course, more research is still needed to conclusively prove that CB can be an effective treatment for arthritis in humans.

In 2006, it was revealed that the Sativex mouth spray could relieve pain caused by arthritis. Sativex was a cannabis-based product containing CBD and THC, the compound responsible for making people high. This meant it was unclear if CBD was directly responsible for the pain relief or if THC also had a role to play.

CBD And Mental Health

It’s also important to look at how CBD oil can benefit mental health. A Neurotherapeutics study found that CBD can help people suffering from anxiety and PTSD.

Here is an extract from the findings:

“Preclinical evidence conclusively demonstrates CBD’s efficacy in reducing anxiety behaviors relevant to multiple disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder (PD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social anxiety disorder (SAD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)… with a lack of anxiogenic (anxiety-producing) effects, minimal sedative effects, and an excellent safety profile.”

CBD And Cancer

This is one of the most talked-about benefits of CBD oil. The National Cancer Institute has reviewed several studies into this area, and while there have been mixed results, there is promising potential that it can be used for treating cancer.

For example, in 2016, research was published showing cannabinoids, i.e., CBD, successfully treated cancer. The study found that after subjecting the test subject to cannabinoids, cancer cells’ growth was inhibited.

The researchers also performed the same test in test tubes. The results were similar; the growth of the cancer cells was also inhibited.

However, while this has got people talking, the researchers mentioned that incorrect doses of cannabinoids would suppress the subject’s immune system. This would result in the subject’s cancer cells to grow unchecked.

Furthermore, there is yet to be a large-scale trial of testing CBD to treat cancer. All the tests that have been conducted to date have been in small samples.

It’s also worth noting that while research exists that connects cannabis and carcinogens, there is no conclusive link between taking CBD and cancer. There has also been no evidence that shows that taking CBD risks the body suffering the same side effects as carcinogens found in products like tobacco.

CBD And Skin Care

As has been discussed, CBD has anti-inflammatory properties. It also has antioxidant properties, making it useful for people suffering from a number of skin conditions.

For example, there has been a study that suggests CBD oil can reduce eczema. This is because the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD can reduce the triggers that cause breakouts.

Furthermore, the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits could also help people suffering from sensitive skin as the CBD can reduce the appearance of sores and irritation.

However, it’s worth noting that other ingredients found within CBD oil could cause further skin irritation.

Conclusion

These five reasons people can’t stop talking about CBD oil are certainly worth the chatter. Over the next few years, expect more research to be published, showing even more benefits. If things continue the way there are, don’t be surprised to see CBD oil hitting the shelves sooner rather than later. As well as the USA, other countries such as the United Kingdom is growing in popularity for CBD use, with top-rated brands such as Blessed CBD providing popular amongst UK consumers for offering the #1UK CBD oil.
