“Luxury” isn’t hard to find in Las Vegas. On every website and on every street, you’ll see signs and advertisements for a luxury sunset dinner, a luxury hotel experience, a luxury package for the weekend — the list goes on. But the difference between true luxury and the kind of luxury that will never meet the mark is that only the latter is loud.
Las Vegas is a city filled with wealthy tastemakers from all over the world who visit to get a taste of the best that America has to offer, but where do they find it? In our list of the most lavishly luxurious spas in Las Vegas, we’ll direct you to the best spa and salon locations available, give you an overview of their offerings, and share why we think they’re the cream of the crop.
1. MGM Grand Spa and Salon — The MGM Grand
Venue Details
The MGM Grand offers arguably one of the best Las Vegas spas, if not the best in the city, and we aren’t just talking about the treatments. The MGM Grand really understands the values of “quiet luxury” and how to craft a space that manages to remain welcoming and feel intimate while being based on grand design principles that give the spa a feeling of open space and artistic proportion. The decor is almost entirely neutral, playing with textures to create interest rather than overusing color in a space that is intended to create a feeling of calm. In rest spaces, the lighting is subtle but elevated by beautiful sconce work. In areas with higher traffic, brighter lights make navigating the area a breeze and allow each guest to provide the others with ample personal space. There are 30 treatment rooms, whirlpools, saunas, and many communal areas for downtime between treatments. Should you wish to keep up with your workout schedule, that’s no problem at all, thanks to the well-equipped fitness center on the premises.
Hero Spa Treatments
- The massage selection on the treatment menu is extensive, and the massage therapists are both well-trained and personable. Our favorite massage of all the excellent options on offer is the 100-minute Signature Massage with the addition of Aromatherapy (on the “add-on menu”) to create a wholly immersive massage experience.
- We love the 50-minute Hydrafacial, mostly because of Las Vegas’s incredibly dry desert climate and the widespread use of air conditioning. We couldn’t live without aircon in the desert, but both the climate and air conditioning have a drying effect on the skin, which is wonderfully remedied by this restorative facial.
Experience
Expect to be welcomed by the soothing sounds of rippling water and the calming strains of gentle music. A day at the MGM Grand Spa and Salon offers a reprieve from the business of life in Vegas and offers guests a chance to unwind or work up a sweat — whichever they prefer. Time goes by slowly, and in this spa, you’ll find yourself unwilling to leave and dying to return.
Average Visit Cost
The average cost of a visit to the MGM Grand Spa in Las Vegas will be between $200 and $300, depending on the type of treatment you select. Basic massages start at around $150, and more elaborate treatments or packages increase in price from there.
2. Forbes Spa and Salon — The Four Seasons
Venue Details
The Forbes spa at the Four Seasons brands itself thusly: “Unlike any other hotel spa on the Las Vegas Strip, our Forbes Five-Star Spa and Nail Bar is a relaxing sanctuary of luxury and seclusion”. This alone gives guests an idea of what awaits them inside, which is a truly spectacular meeting of intuitive, calming design, expert staff, and an enviable treatment menu.
From the moment you enter the salon, you’ll begin to note the opulent touches that make any visit here such a wonderful experience. Diamond parquet floors sail smoothly underfoot, warm wood adorns each desk and treatment room, creating the illusion of nature coming indoors, and earth tones have been artistically daubed onto each wall for serenity and relaxation. If you prefer to be in the actual outdoors, that can be arranged with a poolside massage at the Mandalay Bay Pool. The Spa Garden, an oasis seemingly a world away from the bustle of the scorching Las Vegas streets, is available to spa guests as well.
Hero Spa Treatments
- The Head-to-Toe Candle Massage is an opportunity for guests to experience the magic of massage in an entirely new way. Relax as a blend of natural waxes and coconut oil enrobes your body and is gently worked into your skin. You’ll leave the experience in complete bliss with relaxing musicals and deeply hydrated skin from head to toe. Guests can select their own oil scent to tailor the experience.
- Indulge in the Collagen Hydrate and Contour Treatment for a high-performance collagen boost that strengthens and regenerates your skin with a focus on areas where elasticity is usually lost first. First, your face will be deeply cleansed and exfoliated, and then the moisture level of your skin will be boosted with QMS Iconic 97% Skin Identical Collagen, which lifts, tightens, and sculpts for a smooth and shaped jaw, cheekbones, and brows.
Experience
Expect a serene escape inspired by the stunning colors of the high desert that surrounds it. Around every corner, with every staff member, and in every treatment room, is the antidote to the bright lights and loud sounds of Vegas. Rejuvenation and relaxation share space in this salon, leaving guests ready to face the world again, but as the best version of themselves.
Average Visit Cost
A visit to this spa begins at $200 and rises from there. Visitors say that, although prices are higher in some instances than other Vegas spas, the value received in treatments is more than sufficient to justify that cost.
3. Canyon Ranch Las Vegas — The Venetian
Venue Details
The check-in desk is almost a piece of art in itself; it’s the first indication that what you’re about to experience will be extraordinary. All spa guests have access to the conservatory — a sleek and spacious lounge decorated in slate and granite tones and featuring a cascading waterfall to be used in between treatments. The tile work in the Herbal Laconium and the Relaxing Rain Room is crafted with painstaking detail to create a very Romanesque and timeless feel, but the real jewel of this establishment is the otherworldly Wave Room: a rounded, organic space filled with relaxation beds and lit by glimmering blue light to evoke the feeling of the mysterious, deep blue sea. Light and shadows are used to great effect throughout the common areas in the spa to create a feeling of more extensive dimensions and being somewhere out of the norm.
Hero Spa Treatments
- The Seaweed Detox Cocoon is a restorative body treatment that will leave you feeling like a new person. Guests are led to the cocoon envelopment bed for gentle exfoliation and deep relaxation that provides a whole new definition for the word “luxury”.
- Indulge in Ayurvedic bliss with the Abhyanga-Shirodhara. This enhanced Abhyanga, when combined with the classic treatment of a Shirodhara, guides guests into a light state of meditation as a stream of warm, herbal-infused oil soothes mind and body and helps balance the energies.
Experience
This groundbreaking, new-age spa is unlike anything else currently available in Las Vegas. The approach to health, wellness, and beauty at Canyon Ranch is one of holistic extent, so don’t expect a quick in-and-out visit. This location walks an impeccable line between incredible comfort and encouraging guests to participate in their own wellness experience.
Average Visit Cost
There is no way to provide an average cost for a Canyon Ranch experience, as the offering is highly customizable and tailored to every guest’s experience. Previous guests advise that the experiences on-site begin at around $900 and rise from there.
Treat Yourself
Whether it’s a trip to the nail tech or finding a way to realign your body so that it’s healthy and well-supported from within, these luxury Las Vegas spas can offer everything you need (and then some) to look and feel your best.
