The Related Group, the nation’s leading builder of luxury condominiums and multi-family residences, and sbe, an industry-leading hospitality, lifestyle and real estate development company, announce the launch of Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences brand, with its flagship locations in two popular South Florida communities.
From its roots in Hollywood, California as ‘the most exclusive club in America’ to its evaluation into the most relevant hospitality brands in the world, Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences is now redefining the hospitality and residential experiences with its own signature lifestyle. The first two properties will extend the acclaimed Hyde brand into urban and oceanfront markets, where strong demand for extraordinary levels of lifestyle offerings already exists. Introducing Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences will be Hyde Hotel & Residences Midtown Miami and Hyde Resort & Residences Hollywood Beach, Florida.
The design philosophy of Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences is rooted in a desire to strike a balance between innovation and functionality. Hyde will give guests everything they need, without the clutter of items they don’t. Technology and aesthetics are joined, empowering guests to scale their experience by customizing everything from interactions with property staff to personalized in-room and on-property amenities.
“The Hyde brand has always been defined by its connectivity to music, fashion, art and socializing, where luxury is not about pretense or posturing, but rather authentic style with a commitment to facilitating distinct lifestyle experiences,” added Sam Nazarian, Founder, Chairman and CEO of sbe. “Past collaborations with Related show that they understand how the Hyde Hotels, Resorts & Residences brand can fill a major void in the marketplace, and can adapt to an array of global communities.”
Hyde Hotel & Residences Midtown Miami is located at Midtown Ave. and 34th Street between Miami’s Design District and Downtown and will include 60 hotel rooms and 410 luxury condominiums. Arquitectonica designed the building and David Rockwell will finish the interiors with tech-minded, culturally fluent young professionals in mind. Hyde Midtown will also feature chic food and beverage outlets, a pool and expansive deck, spa and fitness center facilities, and meeting and event spaces. Condominium reservations are currently being accepted for the property, with the project slated to open in 2016. Sales are handled by Related Realty, in partnership with Fortune Development Sales.
“We purchased the Midtown site because we recognized the need for a boutique hotel to serve businesses and travelers who wanted to be near the top-end retailers of the Design District and the Wynwood art scene, but within easy reach of Brickell and South Beach. After the sell-out success with sbe at SLS Hotel and Residences Brickell, we decided to launch the Hyde Hotel brand, with Hyde Midtown and Hyde Hollywood, bringing the brand to two booming neighborhoods,” said Jorge Pérez, Chairman and CEO of The Related Group. “The hotel and its restaurants will provide personalized services and amenities to the 400 Hyde Midtown Residences, uniquely curated for our urban clientele.”
“We’re designing spaces for a person who knows exactly what they want from their dwelling, whether that is a hotel room, a condo, or a restaurant or bar,” said designer Rockwell. “It’s about giving them everything they want and nothing they don’t. Ultimately, we’re creating spaces that provoke creative thought and provide our guests and residents with an ignition for experiencing memorable moments.”
Guests and owners at Hyde Midtown and Hyde Hollywood Beach will not only enjoy exclusive access to the Hyde portfolio, including outposts at Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center, the Bellagio in Las Vegas and, most recently, at SLS South Beach and the Miami HEAT’s home court of AmericanAirlines Arena, but to the entire sbe hospitality platform, spanning over 80 hotel, restaurant and nightlife properties nationwide. In South Florida, that includes access to the award-winning SLS South Beach, The Raleigh Hotel, and The Redbury South Beach opening November 2013, as well as Hyde AmericanAirlines.
Beyond Miami, guests and owners will have seamless entrée to sbe’s other acclaimed properties across the U.S., such as SLS Beverly Hills, The Redbury Hollywood, SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas opening in 2014, SLS Park Avenue, New York opening in 2014, and a collection of over 50 other renowned restaurant and nightlife properties.
