Boutique Hotel in Paris that Makes You Feel at Home

Luxury meets refinement at one of Paris’ coolest boutique five-star hotels.

The Grand Powers Hotel, a member of the Small Luxury Hotel group is conveniently located one block from the Avenue Champs des Élysées in the heart of Paris’ Golden Triangle. With only 50 rooms and suites, it has the quaintness of a familial property without compromising on the amenities.

Jet-lagged travelers will adore the Thala Spa, a soothing spot to relax in the Jacuzzi or Hammam or opt for a pampering Dermalogica facial. Same-day appointments are possible, but book in advance to ensure your treatment time is to your preference.

The rooms are very spacious, even by American standards. Deluxe rooms and certainly all the suites can accommodate three people, making them divine spaces for families. On-demand babysitting is offered and they are pet-friendly as well. Plush robes, towels and the “pillow menu” add a homey touch to an already warm and welcoming vibe of the hotel.

The décor of the entire hotel is a wonderful blend of art deco and times gone by with modern elegance. Opulent crown moldings and antique fireplaces are set off by specially designed furniture and accent pieces, some with brightly colored lacquered paint, others made from brass, marble, oak, and walnut. Velvet and silk fabrics add a touch of refinement that pulls it all together.

The Elegant Suite is just that…elegant in its every detail. It boasts a large separate living room and breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower. This suite is done in hues of blue and the interior design is spectacular. Each floor of the hotel has a different color scheme – celadon green, powder pink or blue. All palettes are pleasing to the eye so I recommend you request a room on a higher floor with better views of the Eiffel Tower rather than pick one based upon the color.

The bar is small but rather cozy and the champagne is always on ice. Cocktails galore made it a special spot for our daily evening aperitifs. Café 52 is open early for breakfasts of homemade buttery croissants, eggs anyway and freshly squeezed juices. Lunch and dinner are delicious casual affairs with an eclectic menu. My favorite dish was the cod with asparagus and caviar – the menu changes seasonally.

The staff is young, energetic, knowledgeable and friendly. What more could you ask for?
