Speaking of the spa, VOMO’s Kui Spa uses Sodashi (which in Sanskrit translates to “wholeness, purity, and radiance”) to fully encapsulate the resort’s opulent and sustainable ethos. VOMO Island Fiji also strives to keep the natural beauty of the island alive for current and future generations and they have enacted a number of sustainability initiatives to reduce their human footprint. As a proud member of the Mamanuca Environment Society (MES), an organization that strives to protect the marine environment of the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji, they recently used Fiji’s border closure to build a freshwater bottling plant on the island, with a goal of eradicating the use of single plastic bottles. Furthermore, they have eradicated the use of small single bottles of toiletries and replaced all with a locally made organic product called NAMA. VOMO also is proud to feature and offer guests produce that is sourced sustainably from the property’s own gardens to further lessen its impact on the greater environment.
