Tip 1: Protect
Tip 2: Curly Morning Hair
Like your skin, hair needs to settle 20 minutes after waking up so make sure to leave it, don’t even look at it. Then, gently scrunch the hair with warm water and finish with a light cool water spray to set the curl and prevent frizz.
Tip 3: Morning Hair
Much like with curly hair, leave it for the first 20 minutes, and once settled, the style from the day before should bounce back in and you’re ready to go.
Tip 4: Beach look
For those with straight hair wanting a beach look, plait the hair in four to six plaits around the head and smooth over with a leave-in conditioner before bed. In the morning, take out the plaits and scrunch a small amount of curl memory gel into the hair for hold.
Tip 5: Sharp Blondes
If you have blonde hair and don’t like the way purple shampoo changes your color, charcoal shampoo is a great alternative. It is amazing at keeping color looking fresh without being too brassy.
Tip 6: Sharp Curls
Organic Color Systems Keep Curl range is great for sharp curls. Use the shampoo followed by the Spritz Treatment, after 15 minutes, rinse and add on the Keep Curl Conditioner. Wash ¾’s of the conditioner out and finish off by removing excess water and apply Keep Curl Memory Gel, twisting the hair section by section. To finish, pop on some argan oil and let the hair air dry or gently diffuse without moving the hair too much.
Tip 7: Summer Volume
To create long-lasting volume even in the summer heat, prepare your roots with a memory gel spray. With the tips of your fingers, rub the roots vigorously when applying. Follow that by blow-drying the hair like normal and the volume will remain even in humidity.
Tip 8: Curl Control
In the humidity, it is extremely important to get control over your curls. Add a small amount of curl control product in between the fingers and smooth onto very wet hair whilst twisting. Leave the hair to dry naturally.
Tip 9: Reduce the Fade
Summer will take its toll on beautiful colors, so make sure to keep moisture in the hair by using a leave-in conditioner, especially on the ends. If you’re worried that’s too heavy, mix a small amount into some water and spray onto the hair.
