NAOYA HIDA & Co.’s journey started in 2018 with the NH TYPE 1A, with only one being made, and since then, it has risen to a major player in the luxury timepiece market. Their recent announcement saw a remarkable array of 11 meticulously crafted timepieces, including three entirely new models and two innovative D-buckles.
Each creation exemplifies the brand’s unwavering commitment to artisanal excellence and timeless design. Presenting a modern vintage watch, combining the work of skilled craftsmen with the latest machine tools, their watches take inspiration from the design motifs of the 1930s and ‘60s.
NH TYPE 6A: A Perpetual Calendar Masterpiece
Leading the 2025 collection is the NH TYPE 6A, a sophisticated dress watch equipped with the new Cal.3025PC movement. Developed in collaboration with Habring2 and Dubois Dépraz, this hand-wound caliber boasts a perpetual calendar, displaying the date, day, month, and leap year.
The dial, crafted from tarnish-resistant sterling silver, features hand-engraved Roman numerals and sub-dials, all executed by the skilled engraver Keisuke Kano. The 18K yellow gold hour and minute hands, along with the blued steel calendar hands, add a touch of elegance.
Encased in a 37mm stainless steel case, the NH TYPE 6A is limited to approximately 10 pieces, with each priced at ¥8,250,000 (including tax).
NH TYPE 3B-3: A Tribute to 17th-Century Horology
The NH TYPE 3B-3 draws inspiration from 17th and 18th-century pocket watches, encapsulating their intricate details within a modern wristwatch. This derivative model features an 18K yellow gold case and a lapis lazuli moon phase disc, offering a celestial motif reminiscent of vintage timepieces. The German silver dial showcases hand-engraved Roman numerals, while the moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock is adorned with a hand-engraved 18K yellow gold moon face.
Limited to approximately five pieces, the NH TYPE 3B-3 is powered by the Cal.3021LU hand-wound movement, offering a 45-hour power reserve. Each piece is priced at ¥8,250,000 (including tax).
NH TYPE 5A-1: Vintage Elegance Reimagined
The NH TYPE 5A-1 reinterprets vintage design elements with a contemporary twist. This derivative model of the NH TYPE 5A features a compact rectangular case measuring 33mm in length and 26mm in width. The dial, crafted from German silver, is hand-engraved with Breguet Arabic numerals and triangular bar indexes, filled with black cashew lacquer. The hour and minute hands are made of 18K white gold, while the second hand is crafted from heat-treated blued steel. Encased in a stainless steel case, the NH TYPE 5A-1 is powered by the Cal.2524SS hand-wound movement, offering a 38-hour power reserve.
Limited to approximately 10 pieces, each priced at ¥3,520,000 (including tax).
The New D-Buckles: Tailored Comfort
To complement the new models, NH WATCH Co., Ltd. introduces two new D-buckles designed for enhanced comfort and fit. Available in 40mm and 45mm total lengths, these buckles are crafted to accommodate a wider range of wrist sizes. The shape of the D-buckle has been slightly modified to improve wearing comfort, while maintaining the feature of achieving a comfortable fit by trying on 32 different sample leather straps of varying lengths.
Customers are required to have their strap size measured in advance at the Tokyo office and atelier or at trunk shows. Each D-buckle is priced at ¥489,500 (including tax).
