Maserati produces a complete range of unique cars, loved for their design and personality. Thanks to their style, technology, and innately exclusive character, they delight the most discerning tastes and have always been a reference point for the global automotive industry.
And now, we meet the new Levante Hybrid, Maserati’s first electrified SUV. Taking a major step forward in its strategy for electrification, Maserati began last year with the Ghibli Hybrid, and its latest edition is “Faster. Greener. Unique”. Faster than diesel, more sustainable than diesel or gasoline, and unique in its specific characteristics.
The Maserati SUV, which has already hit record-breaking figures, now presses ahead into a future in which all new Trident models will be electrified. The aim here is to improve performance, while important, staying true to the brand and its value — so there’s the same speed and agility, luxury, and driving delight while saving fuel. The result is the hybrid SUV that comes complete with the known and loved Maserati roar.
When it comes to the technology, the Levante Hybrid merges the 4 cylinders, 2-liter engine with a 48-volt Hybrid system to recover energy during deceleration and braking. Weighing less than the 6 cylinder engine equivalent (both diesel and gasoline), it has an improved weight distribution as the battery is placed in the rear without compromising the load capacity and optimally balancing the masses of the vehicle. All this design and technology know-how comes together to ensure that the Levante Hybrid is even more fun and agile to drive, with a top speed of over 240 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds.
As for its aesthetic, the Levante Hybrid launch version features a new metallic ‘Azzurro Astro’ tri-coat color and is available as part of the brand’s customization program, Maserati Fuoriserie. There are also exterior and interior blue accents, the shade that’s been selected to identify hybrid cars, already used by Maserati on Ghibli Hybrid.
