Located smack in the center of New York City’s Flatiron District, Cosme is a contemporary Mexican restaurant founded by chef partners Enrique Olvera and Daniela Soto-Innes, along with restaurateur Santiago Perez.

Deservedly named the #1 restaurant in the United States on the 2019 World’s 50 Best lists, Cosme showcases top-notch inventive fare, inspired by regional Mexican flavors while taking full advantage of local and seasonal ingredients. In the spirit of a perfect pairing, Cosme’s beverage program focuses on artisanal spirits. The bar area serves a whole array of inventive tequila concoctions.

Paying homage to a market in Mexico City where Olvera’s grandfather took him to when just a little boy, this dining space was completely gutted and remodeled for a distinctive design and flair. A generously sized, 3,500-square-foot space seats about 140 guests in the main dining room and the beautifully appointed bar area. The private dining room at Cosme allows for a more intimate setting, should the occasion require.

Dine on such delicious selections as the Razor Clam Tostada with salsa macha and peanuts or the light and flaky Fluke Tostada with blue corn aioli. The Blowfish with yellow mole is a masterpiece while the Duck Carnitas with onions, radishes, and cilantro, has fast become a signature dish of Cosme; from the preparation of its crisp duck with the textures and flavors which fuse to perfection, to the cast iron skillet plating, a sight for sore eyes and awaiting palates. Be sure to save room for the desserts, particularly the husk meringue and the corn mousse, absolute dessert staples.
