Aston Martin Valkyrie debuts ahead of British Grand Prix

Showcased ahead of 2019 British GP, the Aston Martin Valkyrie wows at public debut at Silverstone. The Valkyrie was piloted by Aston Martin High-Performance Test Driver Chris Goodwin for its first public demonstration run in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

Although it was only a quick glimpse into the extraordinary hypercar, this highly-anticipated debut marked a significant achievement after both Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies’ engineers, spent months of digital modeling and simulation work. Created as a result of a technical and strategic collaboration between Aston Martin, Red Bull Advanced Technologies and project partner AF Racing, the 1,160bhp showed the team’s cutting-edge development techniques.

The technologically advanced hypercar still needs to undergo a rigorous physical testing process but displayed a glimpse of the car’s eventual potential. “We have created a truly unique, beautiful rear mid-engined hypercar in Aston Martin Valkyrie, that represents the ultimate fusion of art and technology,” said Marek Reichman, Aston Martin Executive Vice President, and Chief Creative Officer.

Five years after the first sketch from Adrian Newey, Chief Technical Officer at Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, the 150 road-going Aston Martin Valkyries are sold out, with first deliveries commencing in Q4 2019.
