Unveiled during a private showcase at London’s historic St Katharine Docks, the all-new Oyster 805 marks a defining chapter in the evolution of Oyster Yachts. The British sailing yacht builder, renowned for creating the world’s finest bluewater vessels, combines time-honored skills with advanced production technology, handcrafting their vessels in the United Kingdom.
This 80-foot bluewater cruiser brings together superyacht styling and long-range ocean capability in a vessel that is as refined as it is robust. Specifically crafted to carry owners across oceans in safety, comfort, and unmistakable style, the yacht was designed in close collaboration with Humphreys Yacht Design.
“The Oyster 805 is the yacht I dreamed of when I took the helm at Oyster. She’s striking, luxurious, and built to take you anywhere. I’m proud of what she represents — the next generation of Oyster,” said Richard Hadida, Owner and Chairman, Oyster Yachts.
With expansive hull windows, a newly imagined interior layout, and elevated design features, the Oyster 805 stands proudly between the acclaimed Oyster 745 and 885 Series II models. The 805 blends performance, luxury, and a spirit of global adventure more often found on much larger vessels. Each hull will be built to order, allowing for full customization and reflecting Oyster’s commitment to craftsmanship and the bespoke ownership experience.
As such, owners can opt for bespoke configurations that include a private office, day bar, or additional guest suites. This innovation balances Oyster’s signature structural strength with a flexible interior design, connecting each owner seamlessly with the sea beyond. Built on a 23.95m hull with a 6.35m beam and a Cummins turbo-charged B4.5 250 main engine, the vessel can sail both efficiently under power and powerfully under sail, with a sail area of 345.75 m² and a fuel capacity of 2750 liters supporting extended cruising.
The launch of the Oyster 805 coincided with a record-breaking sales year for the brand in 2024–2025 and the appointment of Torsten Müller-Ötvös, former CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, as Strategic Advisor.
Building on this growth, Oyster also introduced two pioneering initiatives aimed at expanding and enriching the ownership experience. The Explorers Club, inspired by the legendary Oyster World Rally, offers curated, fully supported expeditions to some of the world’s most remote destinations, while the Bluewater Academy provides immersive, onboard training for sailors at every level. Led by experienced instructors, this hands-on program equips owners with the skills and confidence needed for offshore passages.
From the striking lines of the new 805 to the spirit of exploration embedded in the Explorers Club and Bluewater Academy, Oyster Yachts continues to redefine luxury bluewater cruising. With every innovation, the brand deepens its promise: to build yachts that are not only made for adventure, but also customized and built to last a lifetime.
