For the first time in its storied 106-year history, Aston Martin has put its iconic wings on a motorcycle, the AMB 001 Limited-Edition. This year at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy, Aston Martin Lagonda presented an exciting new collaboration with Brough Superior for these limited-edition superbikes.
From its use of the DB5 model in Goldfinger, catapulting their sports cars to be regarded as a British cultural icon, to holding a Royal Warrant as purveyor of motorcars to the Prince of Wales since 1982, Aston Martin has evolved into a global luxury brand. The British luxury sports cars and grand tourers manufacturer is making its first foray into two-wheeled vehicles, enabling the integration of beautiful design and exquisite engineering into a stunning motorcycle.
The collaboration between Aston Martin and Brough Superior brings together two English automotive companies, both with paralleled storied histories. The performance motorcycle brand created by George Brough in 1919, which was resurrected by vintage motorcycle enthusiast Mark Upham in 2008, continued Brough’s quest of designing a bike with a balance between performance and design.
Both Brough Superior and Aston Martin continue to develop brands that present a luxurious option for the automotive consumer, exciting with raw power and distinct design. Through the use of only the finest materials, both companies are able to offer a bespoke design and engineering solutions making the pairing even more of a perfect match and a final product that is guaranteed to produce something very special.
A vision from top executives of both companies, Aston Martin Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman and Brough Superior CEO Thierry Henriette, combines their vision and a true passion for motorcycles.
