Ms. Besteman was unfortunate to receive a devastating diagnosis of breast cancer. After learning about the way our bodies can manifest problems as a result of our lifestyles and the products we use, Cynthia cleared her household of any possible pollutants and switched to a purely organic lifestyle. In 2013 she created Violets are Blue, a company that operates under the philosophy that skincare does not have to be complicated and offers a consciously-produced line made of naturally-derived ingredients.

Violets Are Blue products are made with no chemicals or fragrances. The skincare line uses premium ingredients, such as rich butter-like Shea and Kokum, nourishing and essential oils – Evening Primrose, Jojoba, Argan, Rosehip Oil, Carrot Seed, Lavender, Avocado, Sesame and more.
