Memorial Day is approaching and with over 131 million people fully vaccinated, the travel industry is picking up. But people are looking for more than just a vacation; they are looking for an experience. First Nature Tours provides just that. With a focus on positive local impact, responsibly curated adventures invite travelers to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and take action to engage with local communities while driving economic development in the areas devastated by natural disasters, such as the 2020 wildfires in Oregon.
“We can all make a positive impact on climate change, and I’m a big believer in the power of travel to facilitate personal growth and global impact,” said Kieron Wilde, Founder of First Nature Tours, who studied Biological Aspects of Conservation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and who holds a certificate in Ecosystem Management in Cultural Landscapes from UNESCO. “The intention behind our Regenerative Tourism programs is to rebuild our area while giving a boost to the industry at large. Driven by the tenets of Learn, Serve, and Immerse, these programs present a unique opportunity for participants to learn about local cultures, reintroduce themselves to the beauty of the outdoors, and leave the destinations better than they found them. We believe our mission combined with a renewed sense of community from travelers is the perfect mix.”
In partnership with Global Family Travel and driven by their pillars of Learn, Serve, and Immerse, these programs present a unique opportunity for participants to learn about local cultures, reintroduce themselves to the outdoors’ beauty and leave the destinations better than they found them.
